Majority oils that we use in our daily foods in cooking are all processed, both vitamin E and lecithin are also removed. Such removal will increase the oils pureness as well as its keeping qualities. What is then done with these nutrients is that doctors use them for retreating heart disease which is caused to a large extent from eating the oils from which the vitamin E and lecithin have been taken away. Such oil can now be sold cheaper for it lasts almost indefinitely, and it is now affordable to almost everybody. 

As everybody now switches from the natural food to the improved and fortified versions. Nutritional deficiencies and illness will now begin to appear. Mostly there are two moneymaking products instead of just one, one of which even makes those modern day illnesses, which are cased by their deficiencies to disappear. And the doctors in the hospital are enlarging their facilities to take care of the greater onslaught of patients. This is the price we pay for progress of course.
